The HEROES of the Tri-County Red Cross Fundraising Campaign
The Red Cross provided disaster relief directly to more than 500 residents and our Disaster Action Team volunteers responded on average to two disasters such as home fires or floods every week, ensuring people can get back on their feet after the unthinkable hit. Our staff trained more than 15,000 people for first aid, CPR, water safety, babysitting and more lifesaving skills in the Tri-County area last year, and
Our volunteers are heroes in the community, and now we are looking for more heroes to make their work possible. The primary function of the Red Cross is to match up donors with volunteers so communities can prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies themselves.
Our first HEROES campaign will be March 8 to 30 and cover the communities in the Western section of the chapter, including Dunellen, Edison (NW),Fanwood, Green Brook, North Plainfield, Plainfield, Scotch Plains, South Plainfield, Warren, Watchung. We will hold another HEROES campaign for the Eastern side of the chapter in May and June.
